(1) The period of usage of this cancellation starts from december 1858. This detail makes uncommon and occasional (if not impossible...) the usage on the first issue, due to the fact that in november 1858 begins to be used the second issue. For this reason, after having examinated a lot of similar pieces of the first issue without finding the wide letters, we think that the score indicated in the Sassone catalogue is really understimated. So I preferred not to express any valutation about this cancellation.
(**) The evaluation is expressed using a double system: in white color you can find the score indicated in the Sassone catalogue and in green color the one that the experience of the collectors consider coherent with the availability on the market. I want to underline that the alternative valutation DOESN'T want to replace the one from the catalogue but it only wants to give you a personal esteem, coming from decades of specialized collecting and costant research of this kind of cancellations.
The score system used there is the same of the one present in the Sassone catalogue (from 0 to 13 and from R1 to R5).
